Walking & Running

Ideal for experienced runners, beginners, or those looking to improve their running. Monday sessions are ideal for beginners of any ability but all sessions are tailored to beginners, intermediate and advanced.

Our usual runs have a variety of terrain, so whether you like pounding the pavements or dodging nettles and muddy patches we’ve got it covered.

Every Monday (6.45pm) and Wednesday (6.30pm) at Northowram Sports and Activity Club.

Calderdale Ramblers

Friendly group of walkers based in the stunning countryside of Calderdale. Walks are held most weekends throughout the year, guided by leaders who know and love the area. New walkers always welcome.

Easy Health Champion Walks

Easy walks with health champions from Todmorden Health Centre every second Monday of the month.

Meet at 9.45am, set off at 10am.

Mum’s Team Walks

Friendly walk and chat around Wellholme Park on Fridays, every fortnight, followed by a brew and biscuits at Wellholme Children’s Centre.

NCT Walk & Talk Sessions

Come enjoy a short (and free!) Walk and Talk session with NCT.

Running most Wednesday afternoons around Calderdale, there is space for 15 people on a walk and tickets must be booked (they are free).

Parkrun – Halifax & Brighouse

Weekly free 5km timed runs in Shroggs Park, Halifax, and Wellhome Park, Brighouse. Register online before you run.

Queensbury Running Club

Small, friendly running club which caters for runners of all abilities and ages, with 4-5 different ability groups. We meet on Thursday evenings at 6.45pm to run at 7pm and train out of Queensbury Golf Club on Brighouse Road. New members welcome at all times of the year.
