At United Education the aim of our school holiday camps is to enrich the lives of children and educate them through the development of new experiences as well as the opportunity of outdoor and indoor play. We recognise that play is vital in the growth of children and gives them the best chance at becoming happy and well-rounded adults. Learning new skills boosts confidence and aids in their emotional development. This, combined with an environment that encourages teamwork and exercise, is the recipe for a happy and healthy child, in body and in mind.
The importance of fresh air and outdoor play is something that we hold very dear at United Adventure Camp. Playing outdoors promotes healthy physical development and mental well-being as it encourages children to burn off energy while the fresh air helps to refresh the mind. The experience of outdoor play helps children grow in confidence and increases self-esteem as they tackle challenges, often with other children that they haven’t met before. Our Adventure Camps provide an environment where your child can engage with children from different backgrounds. This will give them the tools they need to form new friendships outside of the usual regimented backdrop of school. These social skills are imperative in the progress and growth of every child as they mature into adulthood.
United Adventure Camps run throughout the school holidays at various locations across the UK. Each day is filled with several exciting activities for kids which are designed to challenge as well as nurture. A usual day in the life of a United Adventure camper is full of variety. Activities include indoor and outdoor based sports, arts and crafts, bushcraft, games, dance and the opportunity for campers to choose their own activities. This often provides children with their first experience of independent thinking and the chance to communicate their wants and needs with adults other than their parents and teachers.
Each Activity Leader on site is a professional in their field, whether that be sports, performing arts, bushcraft or art. Our Activity Leaders are trained to be able to recognise each child as an individual so, if one or more children out of the group doesn’t feel like participating in an activity, and would prefer to do something else, that is encouraged by our Leaders. We want to be able to encourage campers that expressing one’s feelings is okay and that it is imperative within the holiday camp environment.
There are so many reasons for your child to experience a United Adventure Camp. Whether you would like them to develop their confidence, social skills or you would like them to have the opportunity to develop hobbies or skills that they may not have even tried yet, in a fun and safe environment, United Adventure Camp is ideal for them. We provide extraordinary opportunities for play, and exactly the right kind of encouragement for your children to try new things at their own pace. Our standards are high, and we always put the children first in everything we do.
