Half-term Pumpkin Trail at East Riddlesden Hall

The half-term Pumpkin Trail is the perfect activity for those looking for adventure this autumn!

Can you spot who is hiding in the Hall? Creaking floorboards and dark corridors make the historic Hall the perfect place for a spooky hunt.

There are real pumpkins are hiding outside in the gardens, some have letters painted on the sides. Can you brave the cold weather to find them all and discover the hidden words?

Follow the paths around the gardens, sneak through the yew trees to the Discovery Garden. A hidden woodland play area where you can stir up a messy, muddy potion in the mud pie kitchen. Try to make the sycamore helicopters fly from the castle, race the mini wheelbarrows around the tree or pile the leaves high to make a hedgehog house.

Try out the trim trail, tucked away behind the Bothy. Can you balance and climb your way to the end?

The resident ducks on the pond are always hungry, grab a bag of duck food from the welcome team and give them a tasty treat. If you are looking for something for yourself, why not visit the tearoom, full of homemade treats and tasty snacks. Or pop into the shop, which is full of autumn plants, gifts and souvenirs.

Visit the Discovery Room and make a spooky Halloween bat, or maybe find your next page-turner in the children’s second-hand bookshop.

The trail is running from 21 – 29 October but closed on Thursday and Friday. There is no extra charge to take part in the trail or crafts, normal admission applies for this event, full details can be found on our website.
