The big kids are back to school and the little ones are ruling the roost again!
I don’t know about you, but my day-to-day activities are heavily dictated by my older kids when they’re not at school, and my littlest one follows along.
Now we’ve got some free time just for her, I’ve been looking for things specifically for her age group and really enjoying Calderdale Council’s “50 Things To Do Before You’re 5” campaign.
You can download it as an app and tick the activities off as you go along, or simply read all about it here. It aims to help children get ready for school, but is a great resource to help you plan your week ahead. There’s a mixture of places to visit (The Piece Hall water features, for example) and ideas to enjoy wherever you are, such as nature art, junk modelling and starting a treasure collection.
Of course, the older ones would probably enjoy it too, but it’s nice to do something specifically for the littles.
Have you been enjoying the campaign? I’d love to hear all about it, and any other suggestions you have to keep my smallest Mumbler busy.
