Fun Fitness Classes in Halifax & Calderdale
Is your enthusiasm for your New Year’s resolutions waning already?
We all start off well, but leftover Christmas chocs and winter fatigue can hamper our efforts and make abandoning the gym easier by the day.
So we’ve rounded up some of Mumbler’s favourite fitness classes in Halifax & Calderdale – with explanations as to why our readers like them – so you have fun while toning your tum!
“I love GloFit at Limelight Studios in Rastrick. Fab music from 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
“It’s done in the dark with disco lights and glow sticks. You don’t have to worry about getting the steps wrong OR what you’re wearing and can just let your hair down. Fab little studio and great classes!”
“You can take the kids with you and it’s outdoors in all weathers – apart from a Friday class which is in a play gym, so you can have a play after. Really friendly and you can do it at your own pace but can be pushed too. Sharon’s great and can help tailor the exercise to you. Mornings and evening classes available.”
“Hatton Boxing for Fitness with Jason Whitaker runs fantastic boxing classes.. I’ve been training with Jason since last May and the results are fantastic.. I’m getting fit while learning a new skill.. I’m addicted.”
“We do about half an hour of aerobics, it’s low impact and you can wear baby in a carrier – they love the movement. Then we do a couple of toning tracks on the mat where we interact with baby, and then we always finish with a fun baby lifting track.”
“A general fitness class that you can take your baby to. Also do the same session at Brighouse gym. I’ve really enjoyed them, and only had to stop now baby is on the move and crawling.”
“I enjoy Boogie Bounce because it doesn’t feel like a workout – even though it definitely is! The songs are a mix from Queen to Kesha and you’re so busy enjoying them you forget that you’re literally getting such a good workout.
“Buddies is amazing because they cater for mums who would otherwise need childcare, I take my one-year-old and she plays in a bouncer or with whoever is there to play with.”
“Great boot camp, lovely bunch of ladies and we have a laugh.”
