Children and young people in Calderdale have been able to enjoy a huge range of activities and healthy meals throughout the school holidays thanks to the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme.
Calderdale Council have been allocated £917,670.00 by the Department for Education’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme to provide activities and food for children eligible for benefits-related free school meals during the Easter, Summer, and Christmas holidays in 2022. Calderdale Council partnered with The Community Foundation for Calderdale to deliver this Government-funded programme. Healthy Holidays Calderdale provides a wide range of free holiday scheme places across the borough for children and young people eligible for free school meals. Children can go to holiday schemes within three miles of their homes and have fun in safe, inclusive, and non-stigmatising environments
The clubs provide a vast range of activities for eligible children including archery, drama, gardening, bush craft, food tasting, canoeing and day trips. Every child who attends also receives a hot, nutritious meal as part of the session.

Winter 2022 Programme
The Healthy Holidays Calderdale Winter Programme is fast approaching. You can book your free place at a holiday club taking place near you this December by visiting: www.calderdale.gov.uk/healthyholidays
Please book your place directly though the provider. There may also be sessions available for fee-paying children are not eligible for free school meals.
